Forget the mugs and candles. Give teachers something more meaningful.

Recitals + Final exams + Award ceremonies + Field trips + Teacher Gifts. It all adds up to one of the busiest times of the year. If your family is like ours, the weeks and days approaching the last day of school equals too many things to do and not enough hours in the day.

And now I’m going to give you one more thing to consider adding to your already-packed list.

It’s easy, I promise. You can do it in less than five minutes.

And, if you happen to be one of those parents who feels compelled to give their kid’s teachers an end-of-year gift, this will be perfect for every single one of them.

I am not one of those parents who does Teacher Appreciation Gifts or end of year gifts or anything like that. Never have been. (I know. Call me a slacker. I’ll pick up my Parent of the Year Award on my way out, thanks.) I just never understood the point. I mean, how many WORLD’S GREATEST TEACHER mugs ever get used?

Instead of giving teachers another knick-knack they don’t need, I give them something more meaningful:

A personal, individual thank you email.
