Hasn’t Everything Already Been Said?
Not by you, it hasn’t. On learning to trust your writer’s voice and perspective.
Maybe this has happened to you, too.
(If not, humor me and tell me it has, okay?)
I’m new to Medium. Been here for less than three weeks. I am loving this community more than I ever imagined. This space has sparked my creativity and connected me to a new group of writers. I’m becoming an active member of several Medium-related Facebook groups, all invaluable to my learning curve with this platform. My enthusiasm for Medium has even inspired my husband to re-ignite his writing in this space, which is all kinds of awesome. (You can find his posts here.)
Most of all, I could spend — make that have spent — hours reading your posts, clapping and following.
You see, one of my weaknesses in life is feeling this need to consume ALL. THE. THINGS. That includes everything from books (my Goodreads want-to-read list has surpassed 3,200) to podcasts (I’ve broken my phone with more than 200 subscriptions) and blogs (there are nearly 1,000 in my Feedly).
And thanks to Medium, in the last three weeks I’ve added reading everything you have ever written here. (That would be something like eighty katrillion articles.)
